Game Mode does not artificially block standard executables; Compatibility Mode provides an
isolated ARM64 Linux VM environment (vm-guest-v2), automated installer profiles, and

2. Automated ~3GB Runtime Setup (No Account Required)
On first setup, Exevery downloads the ~3.05 GB ARM64 Linux / FEX / Wine runtime
(prefex-vz-ubuntu-24.04-arm64-fex-wine-v2) using 30-minute Cloudflare R2 presigned GET URLs with automatic HTTP Range resume and SHA-256 verification.
3. Launch Free Game Mode or Start Your 14-Day Trial
Create bottles and play supported Windows games in Game Mode for free forever. When you need isolated VM automation for desktop apps, launch Compatibility Mode to begin your 14-day server-verified trial.
4. Own Perpetually with Paddle Billing
Upgrade to a one-time Compatibility Mode license via Paddle Billing (Merchant of Record). Receive a cryptographically signed entitlement valid across 2 Macs with 1 year of feature updates and permanent hotfix/runtime eligibility.

We test and document individual Windows applications and games on real Apple Silicon hardware and publish exact version numbers, test dates, and known constraints on our Compatibility Matrix. We never make blanket compatibility promises across untested Windows software.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Game Mode really free forever?
Yes. Creating bottles, downloading the shared ~3GB runtime image, and running supported games in Game Mode (host-metal-v1) is permanently free and never starts or consumes your 14-day Compatibility Mode trial.
When does the 14-day Compatibility Mode trial start?
Your 14-day Compatibility Mode trial remains in trial_available status until your first Compatibility Mode install or launch action (verified by server time via POST /v1/trials). No credit card or account is required to start the trial.
Does Exevery work offline?
Yes. Game Mode works offline at any time. For Compatibility Mode trials and paid licenses, Exevery caches an Ed25519 server-signed entitlement envelope (SignedEntitlementEnvelope) on your Mac, allowing up to 7 days of offline use between server refreshes (capped by trial_ends_at during a trial).
What happens to my installed files if my trial or 1-year update window expires?
Your installed Windows programs, bottles, saves, and documents are never deleted (preserve_installed_data: true). If your 1-year feature update window (updates_until) ends on a paid license, your owned version remains perpetually runnable and continues to receive x.y.* hotfix patches and all runtime compatibility updates (kind = "runtime").
Who processes payments, taxes, and refunds?
All paid orders are processed by Paddle Billing as our Merchant of Record (MoR) on behalf of RacoLab. For license recovery, device transfers, or refund requests, contact support@exevery.app.
